SOUTH PORTLAND — GFWCMaine President Anne Cress presided over the spring convention held May 9-10 at the Best Western Merry Manor Inn. Five Miosac Club members from the area attended as well as two Cosmopolitan members.

    Wednesday, May 22 — Pineapple chicken, white rice, broccoli cuts, white roll and vanilla frosted cake.
    Thursday, May 23 — Braised beef, spinach mashed potato, green peas and carrots, wheat roll and peanut butter cookie.
    Friday, May 24 — Beef pot pie, cauliflower florettes, white roll and banana cake.

The Piscataquis County United Bikers of Maine (UBM) presented $227 worth of food to Al Hunt of the Partnership Food Pantry, which serves those in need in the Guilford and Greenville areas, on May 20 at the Bear’s Den in Dover-Foxcroft.
