  • Veterans, families honored

        SANGERVILLE — At a recent ceremony the American Legion and the State of Maine honored two area men. The State of Maine has a program that is called the Silver Star program where the state gives a medal from the State of Maine to veterans or their families who were either wounded or killed in combat. Two Piscataquis County men, Robert Cookson and Harold Jordan were  honored.
