  • Womancare helpline training sessions begin soon

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — Beginning September 15, this year’s advocate training will be offered each Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. for 12 weeks. Womancare has high regard for its volunteer advocate staff and relies heavily on them to help provide services for individuals struggling with issues of domestic abuse.  Trained advocates answer the helpline from the Womancare office during regular business hours. When the office is closed, advocates carry a pager, responding to calls from their home phones nights, weekends and holidays.&nbs...

  • Youth players complete Premier club season

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — SeDoMoCha Middle Schoolers Blake Arno, Antonio Ayala, Nathaniel Church, and Devon Pendriss completed the 2009 Premier soccer season with Blackbear United Football Club at the end of June. The season first started with tryouts in October 2008. Forty kids tried out for the U-11 boys team. The four made the club teams and practices began in November 2008.
