Monson approves Moosehead property tax abatement |

MONSON — The selectmen approved a tax abatement for the past three years on Jan. 17 for the former Moosehead Manufacturing property. The board approved Carl Vainio’s request to reduce the $1,029,780 valuation for the warehouse, a mill and two outbuildings.

MONSON — The Harmony Hill Band reunion performance on Jan. 13 for the benefit of the Monson Center for Community and Commerce was a great success as about 125 people braved the poor weather to enjoy live music in the Monson Gymnasium. The young musicians in the group also had to travel to Monson from college, a challenge they were up to.
